After a two-day monstrous rally, BSE Sensex and Nifty were sharply lower on Thursday, tracking weak Asian stocks. The Sensex fell over 400 points while Nifty slumped below 7,700 levels. Rupee also fell today, hurting the sentiment in stock markets.


The market has opened with a sharp loss following weak global markets. The Sensex is down 335.92 points or 1.3 percent at 25383.66 and the Nifty is down 106.55 points or 1.4 percent at 7712.05. About 129 shares have advanced, 692 shares declined, and 24 shares are unchanged. Hindalco, Vedanta, ONGC, BHEL and SBI are major losers while there is no green stock in the Sensex.

The market has opened in red as the Sensex is down 98.35 points at 27859.15. The Nifty is down 20.80 points at 8438.15. About 298 shares have advanced, 176 shares declined, and 80 shares are unchanged. Wipro is up 3 percent while Sun Pharma, Infosys, Dr Reddy's Labs and Cipla are top gainers in the Sensex. ITC is down over 2 percent. SBI, Vedanta, Tata Power and Bajaj Auto are among the major laggards.

Technical News on Free Nifty Trading Market

The market fell marginally in early trade on last day of the week due to selling pressure in banks and technology stocks. The Sensex fell 30.53 points to 28635.51 and the Nifty lost 27.25 points to 8679.45. About 396 shares have advanced, 276 shares declined, and 91 shares are unchanged on the BSE.  


IT major TCS plunged 1.7 percent as the company did not post any stellar earnings. The company missed expectations with dollar revenues declining by about a percent. The company handed out bonuses to employees worth over USD 2,600 crore.

Free Research of Indian Nifty Market on Mobile

The market opened higher on first day of truncated week but immediately gave up gains to trade flat. The Sensex rose 5.03 points to 28884.41 while the Nifty fell 6.95 points to 8773.40. The broader markets continued to outperform benchmarks with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rising 0.3-0.6 percent.

 

About 704 shares have advanced, 253 shares declined, and 88 shares are unchanged on the BSE. L&T, BHEL, HDFC, SBI, Cipla, Tata Steel and NMDC gained 0.5-1 percent while GAIL dropped 2 percent. Dr Reddy's Labs, M&M, HDFC Bank, Sesa Sterlite and Coal India declined 0.5-1 percent.

Shares of Bharti Infratel is down 4.5 percent as Bharti Airtel is planning to sell shares in the tower company. Bharti Airtel is looking to raise over Rs 2,500 crore through a sale of shares. The telecom operator plans to sell Infratel shares at Rs 350-Rs 360 each, as against Tuesday's closing price of Rs 370.80 on the BSE. Bank of America Merrill Lynch and UBS are the bankers to the deal.

The S&P BSE Sensex opened on a positive note led by gains in metals, oil & gas and pharmaceuticals on the back of supportive cues from global peers. The 30-share index was at 29,070.37, up 70.23 points or 0.24 per cent. It touched a high of 29,133.62 and a low of 29,049.05 in early trade. 


Among the sectoral indices, the S&P BSE metal index rallied 1.47 per cent, the S&P BSE oil & gas index was 0.56 per cent higher and the S&P BSE healthcare index rose 0.51 per cent.

Prediction on Indian Nifty Market Trading Tips

The BSE Sensex and Nifty opened lower on Wednesday tracking weak global cues. Asian stock markets traded weak after the Dow ended with losses of 1.65 per cent overnight.
The Sensex fell as much as 58 points to 29,512.48, while the Nifty shed around 18 points to 8,892.50.

Analysts expect domestic markets to consolidate after a stellar rally, that added 8 per cent to the Sensex over eighth sessions. Sentiments remain buoyant as foreign investors continued their buying spree. On Tuesday, FIIs were net buyers to the tune of Rs 954 crore in the cash market.
