INDIAN RUPEE UPDATE
The rupee closed at 56.38 to a dollar on Thursday. The dollar index has fallen to 83. The Indian currency depreciated 5% in May 2013.

INDIAN ADRs
Indian ADRs ended mixed on Thursday.
In the banking space, HDFC Bank rose 0.92 percent at USD 41.89
ICICI Bank gained 0.15 percent at USD 46.87.
In the IT space, Infosys increased 0.65 percent at USD 41.72
Wipro lost 1.01 percent at USD 7.83.
In the telecom space, Tata Communication slipped 3.52 percent at USD 7.39.
In the other space, Tata Motors rose 1.2 percent at USD 28.67,
Dr Reddys declined 1.27 percent at USD 37.36
Sterlite dropped 2.24 percent at USD 6.55.

ASIAN MARKET UPDATES
Asian markets were trading mixed.
China’s Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,317.30.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng shed 0.25 percent or 55.14 points at 22,429.17.
Japan’s Nikkei gained 1.88 percent or 255.04 points at 13,844.07.
Singapore’s Straits Times slipped 0.86 percent or 28.77 points at 3,307.24.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite rose 0.63 percent or 12.69 points at 2,012.79.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted added 0.42 percent or 58.98 points at 8,302.27.
