Nifty hovers around 7,300: Stock Market Closing News Updates

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 24,014 down by 273 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,296  down 91 points.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down by 1.88% at 10116.80 whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading udown by 1.36% at 10423.50.

SBI, Axis Bank, BHEL, ICICI Bank and Gail are among the gainers, whereas DR Reddys, TATA Motors, ONGC, TCS and ITC are losing sheen on BSE. 

The INDIA VIX is up by 7.29% at 21.7750. Out of 1786 stocks traded on the NSE, 1191 declined ,341 advanced and 254 remained unchanged today.

"A total of 13 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 56 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE."

Sensex crashes 300 points; Nifty falls below 7,300

The S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 23,988 down 298 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,298 down 89 points.

The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading down 0.72% at 10,236, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading down 0.91% at 10,471.

Indian Rupee opened at 68.14/$, down by 20 paise in early trade on Tuesday as against the previous close of 67.94/$.
