INDIAN RUPEE UPDATE
The Indian rupee opened at 53.51 per USD on Wednesday, up by 26 paise compared to previous day-s closing value of 53.77 to the dollar.

INDIAN ADRs
Indian ADRs ended lower on Tuesday.
In the IT space, Wipro was down 0.85% at USD 9.37
Infosys was up 0.46% at USD 52.45.
In the Banking space, HDFC Bank was down 0.59% at USD 40.16
ICICI Bank was up 1.56% at USD 46.98.
In the Telecom space, Tata Communication was down 0.35% at USD 8.48.
In the other space, Tata Motors was down 0.14% at USD 28.01,
Sterlite was up 1.9% at USD 8.56
Dr Reddys was up 1.4% at USD 36.2.

Asian markets were trading higher.
China-s Shanghai Composite was up 0.14% or 3.20 points at 2,349.70.
Hong Kong-s Hang Seng was flat at 23,657.87.
Japan-s Nikkei gained 0.56% or 60.13 points at 10,884.44.
Singapore-s Straits Times was down 0.11% or 3.49 points at 3,270.42.
South Korea-s Seoul Composite rose 0.77% or 14.97 points at 1,954.68.
Taiwan-s Taiwan Weighted added 0.60% or 46.58 points at 7,761.25.

U.S MARKET UPDATE
U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday, led by defensive sectors, in a sign the cash piles recently moving into the market are being put to use by cautious investors to pick up more gains.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 72.49 points, or 0.52 percent, at 13,954.42. The Standard & Poor-s 500 Index was up 7.66 points, or 0.51 percent, at 1,507.84.The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 0.64 points, or 0.02 percent, at 3,153.66.
