Nifty settles above 7,150: Stock Market Closing News

The BSE Sensex opened at 23,536, touched an intra-day high of 23,735 and low of 22,481. It finally ended with a gain of 267 points at 23,649.
 
The NSE Nifty opened at 7,177 hitting a high of 7,215 and low of 7,128, before ending with a gain of 83 points at 7,192.  
 
The India VIX (Volatility) index was down 2.61% to 21.5525. In broader market with the benchmark indices with the BSE midcap and smallcap indices closed up by 0.63% and 0.59%, respectively.

Hindalco, Dr.Reddy's, Cairn India, ONGC, Hero MotoCorp, ACC, ZEEL, Wipro and ICICI Bank were among the gainers on NSE, whereas Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, BHEL, RIL, Axis Bank, Adani Ports, Yes Bank and Idea Cellular were among the losers today.

Out of 1,790 stocks traded on the NSE, 635 declined and 883 advanced today.
 
A total of seven stock registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while 35 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

Surya Roshni soared 3.8% to Rs.134.40 on BSE. The company bagged orders worth Rs.55.19 crore for supply of 9w LED bulbs and street lights for various states from Energy Efficiency Services Ltd.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 182.4 on 06-Jan-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 102.4 on 27-Mar-2015. Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 145 and Rs. 123.2 respectively.
 
The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.32 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.16 % and 36.52 % respectively.

The stock is currently trading above its 50 DMA.

Nifty trades above 7,200 mark: Stock Market Opening News Trends

S&P BSE Sensex is trading at 23,704 up 322 points, while NSE Nifty is trading at 7,203 up 95 points.
 
The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 1.29% at 9,878, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 1.51% at 9,951.

Dr.Reddy's, L&T, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, ONGC and Axis Bank are among the gainers, whereas Bharti Airtel, Prime Property and Shetron are losing sheen on BSE.

All sectors are trading in green on BSE. 
 

Quick Heal shares will be listed on the BSE and NSE on February 18. The company has raised Rs. 451 crore through its initial public offer (IPO).

The INDIA VIX is down 3.46% at 21.0750. Out of 1764 stocks traded on the NSE, 208 declined,1,170 advanced and 386 remained unchanged today.

A total of one stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trades today, while eight stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE.

Nifty settles below 7,050 level: Stock Market Closing News

The BSE Sensex opened at 23,689, touched an intra-day high of 23,692 and low of 23,165. It finally ended with a loss of 362 points at 23,191.

The NSE Nifty opened at 7,201 hitting a high of 7,205 and low of 7,038, before ending with a loss of 115 points at 7,048.
 

The India VIX (Volatility) index was up 2.97% to 23.040.

Tata Chemicals unit to sell stake in Gez Mauritius for $5.5 million

 

Tata Chemicals Ltd has entered into an agreement with Rademan Janse van Rensburg for sale of its entire stake in Grown Energy Zambeze Holdings, Mauritius (‘GEZ Mauritius’) for a consideration of US$ 5.5 million.
