The BSE Sensex finished with lost 72 focuses at 25,270. The BSE Sensex opened at 25,302 touched an intra-day high of 24,355 and low of 25,119.

The NSE Nifty shut with lost 25 focuses at 7,713. The NSE Nifty opened at 7,718 hitting a high of 7,740 and low of 7,666.

The India VIX (Volatility) list was up 4.19% to 16.2775.

ICICI Bank announces Marginal Cost of funds based Lending Rate 

ICICI Bank announces the introduction of the following ICICI Bank MCLR benchmarks.

Interest rate on all rupee loans sanctioned and credit limits renewed w.e.f. April 1, 2016 will be priced with reference to I-MCLR benchmarks.
ICICI Bank Ltd ended at Rs. 236.55, down by Rs. 0.9 or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 237.45 on the BSE.

The stock traded above its 200 DMA.

Nifty opens April series on weak note, Sensex falls; HDFC sheds
 
The market has started off April series and financial year 2016-17 on a negative note, tracking weak Asian cues. The Sensex fell 79.75 points to 25262.11 and the Nifty declined 30.05 points to 7708.35 on profit booking. 
 
Bharti Airtel, GAIL, Hindalco, Tata Steel, M&M, Aurobindo Pharma and BPCL were losers in early trade while BHEL, Wipro, Coal India, ITC, Cipla, Asian Paints, HCL Tech and Wipro gained. 
 
In Asia, Tokyo was trading over 2 percent down while Shanghai and Hong Kong were off with minor losses.

The market snapped two-day losing streak, rising 1.8 percent. The Sensex surged 438.12 points to 25338.58 and the Nifty rose 138.20 points to 7735.20, led by positive global cues and banks rally.

About 1866 shares advanced against 755 declining shares on the BSE.

The market rebounded on Wednesday after a sell-off in previous two consecutive sessions, tracking positive global cues post Federal Reserve Chairperson Janet Yellen's comments. 

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 208.93 points to 25109.39 and the 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 63.25 points to 7660.25. The market breadth was also strong as about 844 shares advanced against 138 declining shares on BSE. 

Lupin, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, Hindalco Industries, Vedanta and UltraTech Cement topped buying list in early trade. 

The Indian rupee has opened marginally higher at 66.48 per dollar today against previous close of 66.54.

Drug major Sun Pharma has forayed into the Japanese prescription market by acquiring 14 brands from Swiss drug firm Novartis for USD 293 million (over Rs 1,940 crore). 



According to the agreements signed by the parties, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sun Pharma will acquire the portfolio consisting of 14 established prescription brands from Novartis for a cash consideration of USD 293 million, Sun Pharma said in a statement. 

Sun Pharma Stock Price: On March 29, 2016, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries closed at Rs 794.05, up Rs 0.00, or 0.00 percent. The 52-week high of the share was Rs 1200.70 and the 52-week low was Rs 706.40. 

The latest book value of the company is Rs 94.62 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 8.39.
