Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was down 0.22 percent or 53.21 points at 23,675.49.
Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.54 percent or 83.78 points at 15,324.16.
Singapore’s Straits Times declined 0.70 percent or 22.22 points at 3,138.48.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite shed 0.16 percent or 3.12 points at 1,983.68.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was down 0.13 percent or 10.54 points at 8,407.46.
China’s Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,249.88.
