INDIAN RUPEE REPORT
The partially convertible rupee was trading at 58.85/86 per dollar compared to its Thursday’s close of 59.11/12.

Indian ADRs
Indian ADRs ended higher on Thursday.
In the Banking space, ICICI Bank advanced 0.87 percent at USD 34.98
HDFC Bank was up 0.08 percent at USD 36.04.
In the IT space, Wipro rose 0.86 percent at USD 8.24
Infosys added 0.79 percent at USD 49.95.
In the other space, Sterlite was up 1.24 percent at USD 5.73
Tata Motors was up 0.96 percent at USD 25.25.

Preferred stock generally doesn’t carry voting rights. It is issued by a

common stock holders. Preferred stock is sometimes convertible to common stock.

Japan’s Nikkei fell 0.51 percent or 74.58 points at 14,656.70.
Singapore’s Straits Times shed 0.80 percent or 26.22 points at 3,248.54.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite was down 0.15 percent or 2.86 points at 1,909.22.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted slipped 0.13 percent or 10.35 points at 8,185.84.
